Did you know………..
Printers consume 30%-40% of their peak power demand when idling between printing and standby and a photocopier left on over night uses enough energy to make 5,300 photocopies.
One ton of paper from recycled pulp saves 17 trees, 2.5 cubic metres of landfill space, 26,500 litres of water, 4,200kWh (enough to heat a home for half a year), 1,475 litres of oil, and prevents 27 kilograms of air pollutants.
In factories, it’s not uncommon for hoses to be left running to drain all day. It is estimated that this can cost €51,800 a year, almost the equivalent of buying a new Porsche Boxster every year.
