Boozeberries Classic Irish Liqueur and Arboretum Lifestyle & Garden Centre were both finalists of the 2007/2008 SFA National Small business Awards. The aim of the awards is to celebrate the achievements of small businesses in Ireland and to recognize the vital contribution of the small business sector to the Irish economy.
Boozerberries Classic Irish Liqueur was a finalist in the Outstanding Small Business category. The business supported by Carlow County Enterprise Board, started out in the owner Michelle Power’s kitchen as an experiment with berries and alcohol. It is now an exclusive brand of liqueur, and available in establishments like the Four Seasons Hotel and L’Ecrivain restaurant in Dublin. In addition to supplying Northern Ireland, the company has secured orders in Holland, Japan and the U.S.
