IT Carlow Enterprise Platform Programme

The Enterprise Platform Programme (EPP) is located in the Incubation Centre (ERIC) where participants receive office desk space, broadband & phone connections.

The EPP provides an appropriate balance of management skills training, business mentoring, personal development and guidance to equip participants with the appropriate skills necessary to develop and commercialise their business idea.

The training involves a series of workshops, one-to-one clinics and mentoring over the 12 months (approx 3 days per month). The programme also allows entrepreneurs to interact with and learn from the experiences of other entrepreneurs in similar start-up situations.

Funding may be applicable to suitable participants under the Enterprise Ireland CORD Programme (Commercilisation of Research & Development). The product or business concept must have export potential to qualify. The funding under CORD is 50% of the participants P60 / P45 to a maximum of €38,000.

To qualify for the programme, applicants should ideally have a knowledge-based, innovative business concept with export potential; a third-level qualification (minimum Diploma); relevant workplace experience and be enthusiastic and confident about setting up their own business.

The Incubation Center and EPP exist to assist entrepreneurs in creating successful high-potential start-up companies and therefore we try to be flexible in meeting each company’s individual requirements.
