commented: ‘ The eBay.ie Academy workshop presents a
fantastic opportunity for local business owners and
anyone interested in selling on eBay.ie to learn
step-by-step in a classroom environment from highly
skilled eBay trained tutors. This one morning master
class is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses
in Carlow and the surrounding areas to take advantage
of the market opportunities offered by eBay for
relatively little investment in terms of both time and
finance. In Ireland currently there
are 4 items purchased and 1 item sold every minute on
the eBay.ie site, this highlights the unique
opportunity presented by eBay in Ireland in
terms of product substitution. Traditionally we rely
heavily on imports in Ireland but
there is plenty of scope for Irish Sellers to develop
more of a market for themselves not only at home but
also internationally via the eBay channel. The Academy
focuses on informing, teaching and empowering buyers
and sellers on the
site.”
The
course is open to all and will provide top tips on ‘how
to sell’ alongside ideas on how to make money on
eBay.ie. From low volume sellers to people planning to
sell thousands of items a month, the eBay.ie Academy aims to
help users sharpen their selling skills and improve
their efficiency when trading on the site.
The event also provides the perfect
opportunity for eBay users to learn from those who have
already made a real success of trading on eBay.ie. The
tutors will also be on hand to answer questions and
offer advice on individual queries. Academy
tutors on the day will include Áine Murphy, Education
Officer of eBay in Ireland. Áine
commented: “The
Carlow community is very important to eBay.ie, as
overall winners of the eBay All Ireland

presents an opportunity for Carlow entrepreneurs to
develop their selling skills and earn additional
cash.” -
