Carlow Enterprise Week was officially launched today at an event in the Ramda Hotel , Killerig , Enterprise Week is the brainchild of the Spirit of Enterprise Forum. The South East Spirit of Enterprise Forum ethos is to support the development of the existing small and medium sized enterprise based in the Region, the creation of new companies and jobs and the promotion of innovation and an entrepreneurial culture.
Enterprise Week '08 has extensive plans to celebrate entrepreneurship
and business in the South East, while showcasing the supports available to start ups, SMEs and entrepreneurs in the region, and to people thinking of relocating here to start their new venture.
The key regional event is the Regional Conference whose theme is 'Make Business Happen'. The conference features regional entrepreneurs such as Liam Griffin of Griffin Hotel Group and Ivan Yates, former Minister, TD, and chairman of Celtic Bookmakers. In conjunction with the conference, an exhibition of national, regional and local supports to business will be held. Tickets are free but need to be booked online on www.spiritofenterprise.ie.
