Carlow County Enterprise Board engages in a large number of Enterprise Development Programmes for SME’s and entrepreneurs. Below is a brief description of each of the current programmes if you require any further information please contact us.

Student Enterprise Programme

The Carlow County Enterprise Board Student Enterprise Programme is an initiative that gives students the opportunity to set up and run their own business or learn about aspects of running their own business. Students are informed of the realities and challenges faced by entrepreneurs today. For further information on our schools programme contact us

Carlow CEB also has a student concept competition that runs annually which helps students engage in the creation of business idea's for the future. Examples of the 2009 finalists can be seen here


Owner Manager Network

The Carlow County Enterprise Board Owner Manager Network is a lunch network that is open to all owner managers in County Carlow. The network meets once a month. The event involves and two elements networks and training & development. For further information visit our events section or contact us.


Carlow Community Enterprise Centres

The Carlow Enterprise Centre is a community led initiative involving a partnership between the local communities and the state bodies. Carlow County Enterprise Board is the lead agency.
The Centre is located on O`Brien Rd in Carlow approx 2km from the town centre. It accommodates units ranging in size from 500 Sq Ft to 1000 Sq Ft. The centre provides incubation space to start up businesses. For further information on Enterprise House contact us.


Women in Business Network

Carlow County Enterprise Board Women in Business Programme is a unique and dedicated positive action programme with the primary objective of fostering and encouraging entrepreneurship, self-employment and enterprise among women in County Carlow. Microtrade

MicroTrade is a programme that helps small businesses build contacts, markets and partnerships across the island of Ireland. The programme is an initiative of the County & City Enterprise Boards of the Republic of Ireland, Enterprise Northern Ireland and InterTradeIreland. National Enterprise Awards

The National Enterprise Awards were established in 1997 in recognition of the contribution of small businesses to the Irish economy. The awards are organised by the County & City Enterprise Boards with each nominating a county winner, based on innovation, profitability and employment growth. Moving On Programme – St. Catherines Community Centre

The Carlow County Enterprise Board Enterprise Module of the St. Catherines Moving on programme is a community partnership with Carlow Area Network Development Organisation (CANDO) and Carlow CEB. The programme is delivered during the year and includes workshops delivered or funded by Carlow County Enterprise Board. For further information contact us.
